Il Guelfo Bianco, hotel in the centre of Florence, is the ideal location for those wanting to stay in the heart of the city, few steps away from the main tourist attractions, but also in a strategic location for all the transportation ways leading to the town.

Surrounded by some of the major Florentine landmarks, such as the Dome, Galleria dell’Accademia, Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the Medici Chapels and the San Lorenzo Market, to name a few, Hotel Il Guelfo Bianco consents you to easily move by foot around the city. to comfortably explore the most famous tourist sites of the area.

But an accommodation in the centre of Florence doesn’t only mean to breathe history and art as you go out of your room, it also means being able to easily arrive there walking from the central train station of Santa Maria Novella, only 10 minutes away!

And if you don’t like walking, or if you have many suitcases with you, there are always the classic taxis, ready to save you. From the train station to the hotel, a ride will cost you around 12 euros, taking approximately 10 minutes time, depending on traffic. If you are arriving from the airport instead, the taxi rate will be fixed at 25 euros, plus 1 euro per suitcase, taking up to 25 minutes with regular traffic.

In the case you are planning to arrive with your private car, don’t worry, you can anyway reach the hotel in the centre of Florence, even if it is a limited traffic zone. You will be able to pass through the LTZ without being subject to any sanction, you just need to communicate us your license plate at your arrival. When driving in the city centre be careful to other possible violations, such as using lanes assigned to buses and special vehicles… In Florence we are very strict with traffic laws!

And what about parking? It is well known that parking in Florence can be a nightmare, but here at Il Guelfo Bianco, we thought also of this, providing you an easy solution with a partner parking space nearby, perfect to keep your car safe while here.

The car park is only 5 minutes away from our hotel and the rates vary from 27, 31 and 33 euros per day. Once you get here, the valet will be picking up your car for free in front of the hotel, and bringing it back to you the day of departure.

If you prefer to park your car somewhere else, no problem, you can still get in front of the hotel to drop off your bags, allowed for a 15 minutes’ park. As usual, to avoid the LTZ come tell us your license plate.

If you don’t own the car and need to take it back to the rental company, we will be happy to help you reach the nearest one: they may not always be easy locations to reach from the canter.

But being honest, we suggest you not to bring a car at all! In Florence you can really go anywhere by foot, and taxis are there for the long distances, if needed. Not having a car park to pay and going around by foot, you will be able to save some money to enjoy an extra glass of Tuscan wine, not worrying about driving or putting on some weight!
