Luckily for us it actually represents something very positive: the addition of a <strong>new work of art<\/strong> joining our collection in our <strong>hotel in Florence, Il Guelfo Bianco<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two large white canvases<\/strong> on which the hand of an artist out of the box such as <strong>Renato Ranaldi<\/strong> stands out even more, enhancing the tridimensional quality of the work, thanks to a <strong>great technique <\/strong>developed on an artistic path that has coursed its way throughout Italy and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Active since the Sixties, Ranaldi has <strong>a mind full of imagination<\/strong> that likes to flip the status quo on its head, giving life, on canvas, through installations or using different materials, to the concept of \u2018<strong>hanging in the balance<\/strong>\u2019: the elements of his work are placed in a precarious position in order to really grasp your <strong>attention<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cContenzioso\u201d faithfully mirrors this <strong>element of risk<\/strong>, by including two separate canvases that are physically <strong>linked together with colour<\/strong>. Between the pure white of the canvases, this mixture of vivid colours, one on the other, creates a necessary <em>trait d\u2019union<\/em> hanging in the space for which the <strong>two canvases are competing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6071\" src=\"https:\/\/ilguelfobianco.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Ranaldi-Collage.jpg\" alt=\"Ranaldi Collage\" width=\"2086\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5>Even though this work contains the concept of precariousness and expresses the competition for colour, it never makes us feel uncomfortable. On the contrary, <strong>its originality and its large dimensions<\/strong> (it is eleven centimeters wide) had a very <strong>pleasant effect on us<\/strong> and won us over.<\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Once me and my wife had both decided that we liked the picture, our own compulsory requirement to buy an artwork, the <strong>only doubt we had was where to put such a large work in our hotel<\/strong>. It wouldn\u2019t fit into any of the rooms, for sure, and we were even struggling to find a place for it in the hall of the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Suddenly, the solution: our restaurant, <strong>Il Desco Bistrot<\/strong>, would be the new house of the \u201cContenzioso\u201d. After a recent restoration that made our restaurant even more beautiful and cozy, the space is much wider and <strong>the atmosphere is just right for the dimensions and shades of colour of this picture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Satisfied to have another <strong>amazing contemporary artist<\/strong> with us, and a Florentine one at that, allow me a little bit of parochialism, with great humor and pleasure I invite you to come to <strong>Florence for the weekend<\/strong>!
